St. Croix River
The 164-mile St. Croix River is protected by the National Park Service as a National Scenic Riverway. While you’re fishing stretches of this water, perhaps spotting deer along the banks, or eagles soaring overhead, you’ll be amazed by how you feel “away from it all,” yet are so near the bustling metro area.
With St. Paul and Minneapolis nearby, there are also many small, historic towns situated along the St. Croix River. If you book a guide trip with Josh, you’ll likely be meeting near Hudson, WI. Hudson and Stillwater, MN (directly Northwest of Hudson, just across the river) both offer charming main streets with colorful storefronts and unique, local shops that include antiques, gifts, clothing, chocolate/candy, coffee, and many local restaurants with delicious specialties. Visit their tourism sites for more information, including lodging options: www.hudsonwi.org and www.stillwatertraveler.com.
