Boat Access:

The DNR operated access is located on 238th street just east of Lofton Ave. N.

Shore Angling:

Anglers may fish from shore along the shoulder of 238th street along the north shore of the lake. The area adjacent to the inlet from Moody Lake is especially popular. Some anglers also choose to fish from shore along Lofton Ave N. in the N.W. bay near the outlet. Use caution when using this area as Lofton Ave N. is a busy county highway with cars traveling at highway speeds.

Management Plans:

  1. Stock walleye at the rate of 1 lb. per littoral acre annually (124 pounds).
  2. Population assessment in 2011. Re-survey in 2016.

Comments:

Carp and bullheads are found in good numbers in this lake. As a result, water quality can be poor at certain times of the year. The access is small, but well suited to the lake. Walleye fishing can be good at times. Vegetation growth can limit shore angling, especially later in the summer.
