LATEST NEWS: Josh recently teamed up with Grampa Joe's Marine in Harris, MN and is now selling Skeeter boats! He is also anxiously awaiting the arrival of his new 2014 Skeeter MX2025. How does this news affect you? Well....
#1. There will now be room for an additional angler on all guide trips! Musky trips can now accommodate 3 clients instead of 2, and fishing trips for all other species of fish can now accommodate 4 people!
#2. If you're in the market for a new boat and are looking for more information, Josh will be happy to share with you what he's learned over his many years of boat ownership.
Josh is a United States Coast Guard (USCG) Licensed Captain and has guided professionally for nearly 20 years. While his first love is musky fishing (he caught the current Minnesota State Record Tiger Musky in 1999), he also enjoys guiding for walleye, bass and northern pike.
If you’ve seen Josh on "The Hunt For Big Fish" starring Larry Dahlberg, you’ve had a glimpse of the enthusiasm and impressive results that Josh is known for (like landing several giant muskies on Larry's show)! He is also a published writer and engaging seminar speaker.
In 2004 Josh purchased Blue Ribbon Bait & Tackle in Oakdale, Minnesota and shaped it into a "home away from home" for all anglers. If he’s not on the water, he’s probably at the store, helping customers find the most effective tackle for their next fishing trip. Otherwise, he’s likely spending time with his daughters, Anabelle and Emma, and his wife, Laura.
Feel free to browse the website to get to know more About Josh. To preview where you’re likely to fish on your guide trip, check out the Home Waters tab. If you’d like to purchase some great tackle, including specialty items that can’t be found anywhere else, click Shop for Blue Ribbon Bait & Tackle’s on-line selection. Maybe you’ve got that nagging question on your mind, “Did this guy really start guiding when he was 16?” If so, I’d recommend you pour yourself some coffee and browse his photo Gallery. You’ll see how Josh grew up...on the water, with fish on the line!
Josh's passion for life and fishing will be obvious the moment you meet him, and he’s looking forward to meeting you!
